iOS 18: What we want from Apple’s next big update

iOS 18: What we want from Apple’s next big update

Apple is expected to announce iOS 18 at their WWDC in July this year and here a just a few of things we’d like to see.

A Better Siri

Siri is Apple’s voice assistant, and it can do things like make calls, send texts, or play music. But Siri is not very smart sometimes, and is falling behind the likes of Google Assistant and Alexa. With iOS 18, Siri could get a lot smarter, thanks to AI.

We want Siri to be able to understand and answer more kinds of questions, like “Make a GIF from these photos and send it to my friend” or “Create a playlist for my workout”. Siri could also be able to use more apps and data, like health records, calendars, or other services, to help us better. And Siri could be able to learn from what we like and don’t like, and change how it talks and acts.

Better editing in Photos

The Photos app is where we keep and edit our photos. But sometimes our photos have things that we don’t want, like a person or an object that spoils the view. We want a Magic Eraser, like Google has, that lets us erase those things from our photos.

For example, if we have a photo of a beautiful beach, but there is a trash can in the way, we could use the Magic Eraser to erase the trash can from the photo, and the app would fill in the space with more sand and water. This way, we can make our photos look better and prettier, without having to use complicated tools or other apps.

Again Apple is way behind it’s competition in this area.

Overall

iOS 18 is going to be a big update for the iPhone and iPad, with a lot of cool features that use AI. These features will make iOS better and smarter than ever, and we can’t wait to try them out.
