Celebrating 30 years of the Macintosh
Apple is celebrating thirty years of the Mac and are marking the event in a heap of ways. To Start they have taken over the home page to explore 30 years of innovation in the Mac.
The feature pages take you through every single milestone in the Mac's history from the launch of the original in 1984 through to the introduction of the first iMAC in 1998 to the MacBook Air launched a decade later. You can also be part of the celebration by telling Apple which was your first Mac.
Apple's CEO Tim Cook has spoken to ABC about the last 30 years and about Apple's legendary secrecy.

Cult of Mac has posted a great story about it being Party Time at Apple HQ!
"Apple is getting ready for a 30th Mac Anniversary party at the company HQ, according to pictures that have just started showing up on Instagram.
Several pictures from Apple’s Cupertino HQ taken in the last hour or so show giant birthday banners that have been hung off buildings. “Happy Birthday, Mac,” they say."
