Apple has stepped up it's promotion of the App Store reaching 50 billion downloads. They have now put the countdown ticker of their front page featuring some apps to demonstrate just how big a number 50 billion is. Did you know with 50 billion bricks you could build 12 Great Walls of China?
The person who downloads the 50th billion app will be rewarded with a $10,000 App Store gift card, with the next 50 downloads being rewarded with $500 gift cards.
