Apple has sent out media invitations for a "Special Event" it will hold September 12 at the Steve Jobs theatre at the company's new campus.

Citing "Sources" Re/code reports that Apple will be holding a special event on October 16 where they will introduce their new iPads as well as Yosemite. Re/code has a pretty good reputation so my money says that this is the date! The rumours are that Apple will hold the event at their own in campus in the "Town Hall".

The only real solid goss we have on the new iPads is that they'll feature Touch ID.
